Mosman Council

Tracing the Past: Mosman Council ‘s Trace is their extensive local history digital archive – a single portal through which all staff can find and access anything, any time. “Cumulus for us isn’t just a means of storage, it’s a way for people to access Council’s local history archive via the Web,” said Local Studies Librarian Donna Braye. Shrine of Remembrance

DAM strategy pays dividend for Shrine of Remembrance: the Shrine of Remembrance uses Cumulus for image re-use for public programs, schools programs, exhibitions and corporate reports. Jean McAuslan, Collection Manager says “we estimated some 3,000 images would need to be withdrawn from our file share drive and were amazed to find 13,000. Most of these are generated by the Shrine as official photography of events and ceremonies, or records of other activities such as exhibitions.” (First published in ©IDM)

National Gallery of Victoria

Image Metamorphosis at NGV: the National Gallery of Victoria Photographic Services department has the responsibility of providing efficient image management using Cumulus linked to their Vernon Collection Management System… visual recognition of artworks is achieved at the same time as metadata is received. The result is a more efficient work environment and no time delay. (©Colleen Bate, Digital Reproduction magazine)

Spotlight Stores

Canto Cumulus: a powerful tool for Spotlight’s catalog production and image management. “Once the data has been added, designers can immediately start searching for it, then access it from the server and drop it into a document. It is not finished art – but they can place it for the purposes of sign off.” (©Colleen Bate, Digital Reproduction magazine)
